MuMS is home to four faculty members and their research groups.<\/p>\n<p>An Open House and inaugural MuMS Seminar Oct. 9 will celebrate the   recent creation of the space located on Nashville\u2019s historic Music Row.<\/p>\n<p>Multiscale modeling involves the synergistic use of computational\u00a0  methods applicable from the very small to the very large. It relies on  state-fo-the-art software technology, much of which is developed  in-house, according to <a title=\"Peter Cummings\" href=\"http:\/\/engineering.vanderbilt.edu\/chbe\/FacultyResearch\/peter-cummings.php\" target=\"_blank\">Peter Cummings<\/a>, director of MuMS.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cResearch at MuMS spans many length and timescales, from detailed  atomistic level simulations to large scale computational fluid dynamics  modeling,\u201d said Cummings, John R.
