They are organized into\u00a0<strong>4 family groups:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">New Beginnings<\/span>,\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\">Roots and Resilience<\/span>, and\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">Dreamers of Tomorrow<\/span>.<\/h4>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">New Beginnings<\/span><\/h1>\n<h2>YOU&#8217;LL BE IN MY HEART<br \/>\nBaltimore, MD<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>About: <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At this site, participants will volunteer with<\/span><b> Asylee Women Enterprise (AWE)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, an organization offering <\/span><b>transitional housing, community, and legal support to refugees and asylum seekers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. AWE provides holistic services to help individuals heal from trauma and rebuild their lives in Baltimore. Participants will assist with facilities work, engage with asylum seekers, and support refugees as they settle into the community. This experience also offers educational insights into the challenges refugees face in the U.S., fostering a deeper understanding and empathy for their journeys.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Site Leaders:<\/strong>\u00a0Lauren Johnson and Allison Westerbeek<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participant Cost:\u00a0<\/strong>$320<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>WELCOME, THIS IS A FARMHOUSE<br \/>\nFort Collins, CO<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>About: Harvest Farm<\/strong>, a branch of the Denver Rescue Mission, is a <\/span><b>faith-based rehabilitation program for men recovering from addiction<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Located 40 miles north of Denver, it combines <\/span>physical farm work<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with a<\/span>ddiction education classes<b>. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At this site, participants will engage in daily farm life, from hands-on tasks to sharing meals and attending classes with the residents. This unique experience offers the chance to <strong>serve while connecting with individuals on their path to recovery<\/strong>, all set against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Site Leaders:<\/strong>\u00a0Holden Blanton and Esha Rashid<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participant Cost:\u00a0<\/strong>$380<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\">Roots and Resilience<\/span><\/h1>\n<h2>COUNTING STARS<br \/>\nCorpus Christi, TX<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>About:<\/strong>\u00a0At the Padre Island National Seashore, participants will work with the National Park Service to preserve this vital ecosystem, home to sea turtles and 380 bird species. The primary project will involve building a corral to protect endangered sea turtle nests from threats like human interference and predators. Participants will also clean a sea turtle lab and help remove trash from the beach. Weather permitting, they&#8217;ll camp on-site, experiencing the natural beauty of the area while contributing to its conservation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Site Leaders:<\/strong>\u00a0Sophie Azar and Eugene Min<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participant Cost:<\/strong> $350<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>GIVE A LITTLE BIT<br \/>\nAtlanta, GA<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>About:<\/strong> Georgia ranks amongst the bottom quartile for access to healthcare and healthcare quality in the United States. Diseases like HIV, heart disease, and diabetes afflict Atlanta, GA\u2019s poorest populations. In Atlanta, we\u2019ll gain hands-on experience working with organizations that emphasize community health like the Empowerment Resource Center and MEDShare International. Furthermore, we\u2019ll speak with representatives at the Emory Rollins School of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control while touring their facilities to learn about healthcare in public service.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Site Leaders:<\/strong>\u00a0Shayaan Essani, Riya Patel, and Devin Crawford<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participant Cost:\u00a0<\/strong>$360<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">Dreamers of Tomorrow<\/span><\/h1>\n<h2>SUDDENLY I SEE<br \/>\nPittsburgh, PA<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>About<\/strong><strong>:\u00a0<\/strong>At this site, participants will work with <strong>Gwen\u2019s Girls<\/strong> in Pittsburgh, an organization focused on preventing female juvenile delinquency by <strong>empowering girls with critical life skills<\/strong>. Participants will engage with girls in the after-school program, help with cleaning and decorating, and lead new initiatives. By the end of the week, participants will <strong>gain insight into the challenges and triumphs that girls and women experience<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Site Leaders:<\/strong>\u00a0Jenny Chu and Drew Woodward<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participant Cost:<\/strong> $300<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>BREAKAWAY<br \/>\nSavannah, GA<\/h2>\n<p><strong>About:\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Savannah, a city known for its Southern charm and historic beauty, poverty remains a stark reality, with 1 in 4 residents living in poverty and over 40% of children affected. Participants at this site will work with underprivileged youth through <strong>Operation Beacon<\/strong>, volunteering at a local middle school(not confirmed) and supporting <strong>Park Place Outreach<\/strong>, which provides <strong>services for at-risk youth<\/strong>.
