Our September meeting had a lot of information that was shared so please review our meeting minutes.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Values at Vanderbilt<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-337\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-dev.vanderbilt.edu\/t2-my-dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2083\/2017\/10\/values.jpg\" alt=\"Values\" width=\"270\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We were privileged to have Barb Carroll, Chief Human Resources Officer, lead us in an <a href=\"http:\/\/my.dev.vanderbilt.edu\/usac\/chief-hr-officer-leads-usac-in-an-interactive-presentation-on-values-at-vanderbilt\/\">interactive presentation on values at Vanderbilt<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>PARK(ing) Day<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-336\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-dev.vanderbilt.edu\/t2-my-dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2083\/2017\/10\/parking-day-a.jpg\" alt=\"Parking Day\" width=\"270\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I hope you all were able to take part in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=61OMbOASX2c\" target=\"_blank\">PARK(ing) Day<\/a> or able to just get outside and enjoy this fall weather.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Employee Hardship Fund<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-339\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-dev.vanderbilt.edu\/t2-my-dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2083\/2017\/10\/kroger.jpg\" alt=\"Kroger\" width=\"270\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Jim Kendall, Manager with Work Life Connections, came and spoke to us about the <a href=\"https:\/\/healthandwellness.vanderbilt.edu\/news\/2011\/09\/the-faculty-and-staff-hardship-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\">Employee Hardship Fund<\/a> and the significant role it plays in the lives of our staff that have experienced a temporary hardship. If you are already signed up with Kroger Community Rewards, now is the time to access your account and renew your enrollment.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Employee Tailgate<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-338\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-dev.vanderbilt.edu\/t2-my-dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2083\/2017\/10\/tailgate.jpg\" alt=\"Tailgate\" width=\"270\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hope you all were able to participate in the Employee Tailgate as we hosted #18 Kansas State and walked away with an exciting victory over the Wildcats. If you were able to attend (or even if you weren&#8217;t) please <a href=\"https:\/\/news.vanderbilt.edu\/2017\/09\/20\/employee-tailgate-success-mirrors-commodores-victory\/\" target=\"_blank\">read about, and take a look, at the excitement<\/a>!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Go for the Gold<\/h3>\n<p>Earlier this month the International Olympic Committee announced that Paris would host the 2024 Summer Olympics and Los Angeles would host the 2028 Summer Olympics. As these athletes will be competing for the gold, each of us are able to win the gold medal as well through Vanderbilt&#8217;s award-winning three-step <a href=\"https:\/\/healthandwellness.vanderbilt.edu\/healthplus\/go-for-the-gold\/\" target=\"_blank\">Go for the Gold Program<\/a>.
