With this improvement, one can quickly segment tens to hundreds of cells in hundreds of time-lapse images. The python program that handles the segmentation and user interaction is known as <strong>SeedWater Segmenter (SWS)<\/strong>, and is <a href=\"http:\/\/code.google.com\/p\/seedwater\/\">available for download under a BSD license at Google Code<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There is also a <a href=\"http:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/store\/10.1002\/cyto.a.22034\/asset\/supinfo\/CYTO_22034_sm_SuppMovie.avi?v=1&amp;s=4b3085465ba37ff23512bec9c6c336a62af0339d\">screencast tutorial on using SWS<\/a> available as an .avi movie.
