Specifically, they are examining the promise and limitations for different types of statistical procedures used to estimate teacher performance from their students\u2019 achievement test scores. This research addresses a key question related to performance incentives in public education; that is, how educator compensation might be linked to the achievement gains of their students.<\/p>\n<p>NCPI\u2019s value-added measurement research entails two distinct studies.
