Additionally, I serve as the treasurer for this organization.<\/p>\n<p><strong>National Museum of African American Music: Arts, Discovery, and Innovation Fund:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Social Justice &amp; the Black Music Experience<\/strong>\u00a0This grant was awarded to Tiffeni Fortno with <strong>Emily Pendergrass<\/strong> to utilize Black music &amp; children&#8217;s literature to support classroom instruction about Civil Rights and the social justice movements. We will create an online guide with teaching resources, including books and music references, to help teachers create lessons incorporating children&#8217;s literature focusing on Black musicians, Civil Rights, and social justice themes. This will include the incorporation of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.learningforjustice.org%2Fsites%2Fdefault%2Ffiles%2F2017-06%2FTT_Social_Justice_Standards_0.pdf&amp;data=05%7C01%7Ce.pendergrass%40vanderbilt.edu%7C406a9709ee8c4354288308daa885ca94%7Cba5a7f39e3be4ab3b45067fa80faecad%7C0%7C0%7C638007589821463571%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=SCZW4bv4JUoio1gF0tgCOG9TOQMDs4lksESvl4kQr8E%3D&amp;reserved=0\">Social Justice Standards<\/a>\u00a0from the Learning for Justice organization.<\/p>\n<p><strong>U.S. State Department Grant: American University of Iraq-Baghdad College of Education <\/strong>(2022-2024) This grant was awarded to Xiu Cravens, associate dean for international students and affairs, and\u00a0Nancy Dickson,\u00a0director of the AUIB project. Peabody team includes\u00a0Ellen Goldring\u00a0and\u00a0Erin Henrick\u00a0of the\u00a0Department of Leadership, Policy and Organizations;\u00a0Brian Kissel,\u00a0Kristen Neal,\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Emily Pendergrass<\/strong>\u00a0of the\u00a0Department of Teaching and Learning.
