Beginning Fall 2019,\u00a0the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science will introduce two new minors for Vanderbilt University undergraduates.<\/p>\n

Minor in Electrical Engineering<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The minor in electrical engineering is available to all students except those majoring or minoring in computer engineering. The electrical engineering minor requires a minimum of 16 hours of EECS courses, including the completion of all laboratory corequisites for courses selected for the minor, distributed as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t
Programming: CS 1101 or CS 1104<\/td>3 hours<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Digital Systems: EECE 2123\/2123L**<\/td>4 hours<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Circuits: EECE 2112<\/td>3 hours<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
One of EECE 2213\/2213L, 3214, 3233, or 3235\/3235L<\/td>3-4 hours<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
At least 3 hours of EECE courses numbered 2000 or above,
\nexcluding EECE 3860\/3861<\/td>		3 hours<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Total<\/td>16-17 hours<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n

Minor in Computer Engineering<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The minor in computer engineering is available to all students except those majoring or minoring in electrical engineering or computer science. The computer engineering minor requires a minimum of 17 hours of EECS courses, including the completion of all laboratory corequisites for courses selected for the minor, distributed as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t

At least 3 hours of EECE or CS courses numbered 2000 or above,
