On October 1st, Vesna Pavlovi\u0107 presented her photographic project Iconography of Spectacle at the Arquivo Vivo (Alive Archive) exhibition at the Pa\u00e7o das Artes, S\u00e3o Paulo. The exhibition, supported by the S\u00e3o Paulo State Secretariat for Culture and curated by the Pa\u00e7o das Artes\u2019 director Priscila Arantes, presented the work of 21 international artists dealing with archive material and issues pertinent to the field. Pavlovi\u0107\u2019s project was based on research conducted at the Museum of Yugoslav History and focused on Yugoslav President Josip Broz Tito\u2019s career and travels around the world from 1945 to 1979. The exhibition ran until December 8, 2013.<\/p>\n

While in S\u00e3o Paulo, Prof. Pavlovi\u0107 taught a week-long seminar on contemporary photography at USP\u2019s Department of Visual Arts at the School of Communication & Arts during Prof. Mario Ramiro\u2019s class \u201cA Fotografia do Invis\u00edvel\u201d (The Photography of the Invisible). This was the first course taught through a Conversations\/Conversas exchange.<\/p>\n
